Went to the Cavan stages rally today. Involved fast, loud cars driving really fast down small country Cavan roads. That part i expected.
I was told to wear waterproof shoes as we may have to walk through a field. I should have brought climbing gear. In order to get a good vantage point we had to jump across ditches, climb over barbed wire and gates, and hike up a hill through a forest. I couldn't climb up on of the ditches so the picture here was my view for that stage. Being short, and the only girl in group was a bit of a nuisance.
Lessons learned: when going to a rally, wear non slip runners, layers (as the weather changes rapidly) and prepare to get dirty.
Don't tell anyone, but by the end, i kind of enjoyed it.
Toodles..
